Hi! I’m Cristina, a biologist currently working in the Bioinformatics Unit at the CNIO.
I studied Biology at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) and later completed a Master’s in Bioinformatics and Data Science at the Carlos III Institute of Health (ISCIII). During my master’s, I carried out my thesis in the Bioinformatics Unit at the CNIO, where I focused on the genomic characterization of hereditary cancer. After completing my master’s, I joined the unit as a bioinformatician, where I continue to broaden my experience through a variety of research projects, including transcriptomics and other bioinformatics analyses.
Outside of science, I enjoy painting, doing arts and crafts, and listening to music. I love learning new things and taking on new challenges.
