Hi, I’m Ruth!
I have been working as a bioinformatician since 2021. In November 2022, I joined the CNIO Bioinformatics Unit, where I provide bioinformatics support to CNIO research groups as well as external collaborators.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics from Escuela Nacional de Sanidad - Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ENS-ISCIII) (2021) and a PhD in Molecular Genetics from the Universidad de Oviedo (2002). Before transitioning into bioinformatics, I spent several years conducting experimental research in molecular biology laboratories in Spain and the United States, gaining extensive experience in molecular genetics, cell signaling, immunology, and obesity research.
