Hi! My name is Ignacio, and I am an AI Researcher in the Bioinformatics Unit at the CNIO.
I currently work on the application of deep learning to histopathological image analysis, developing AI models for H&E imaging as part of the Generación D programme funded by the NextGenerationEU initiative. In parallel, I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Machine Learning for Health at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and a Master’s Degree in Big Data & Business Analytics from the Complutense University of Madrid. During my undergraduate studies, I collaborated with the Quantum Nanosystems Group (QNG). My Master’s thesis focused on developing a deep learning application to translate American Sign Language into text.
